Salvaged For Good Sale

Do you long for the return of the yard sale that actually had interesting items you could salvage and use for a new purpose?  No entrance fee or 50 minute line to get in the door, so you can buy something funky and fun to spark your creative thinking.  Salvaged for Good is my answer to the old fashioned yard sale with a vintage twist.  It is also a creative way to put Proverbs 31:24 into practice.  My Salvaged Gals all take something and give it a new use with the goal of blessing their families with additional income and using their Creative God Given talents.
Growing up in a family with a very limited income created a resourceful spirit when it came to daily needs.  Thus our family stopped for every yard sale!  There just might be something we needed for cheap! When I married 37 years ago the adventure of finding the perfect used item at a garage sale was the very avenue I used to decorate our first apartment.  We were living on a shoe-string budget during the first five years of marriage, while my husband finished school.  My husband’s favorite saying was “ I accelerate past yard sales.”  A yard sale was not his idea of a good time.  This caused me to start finding gal friends who loved to go junking.  We were always looking for that used item that could be painted and turned into something fun with a new purpose or use!  We were  looking for something that was a deal and would meet a need without straining the family budget.  We still see yard sales today, but the cute garage sale that had fun usable items for a great price is almost a thing of the past.  Today it is a Barn Sale, or Grange Sale with 50 vendors and high entrance fees.  My goal with Salvaged for Good is to offer  a fun venue where women can sell their wares and  others can have a fun, creative, no entrance fee shopping experience.  So the garage is being revamped, I have picked up some Salvaged Gals, and we are hosting the first Salvaged for Good Sale.  Keep checking this blog to see our progress and check out the Salvaged Gals to see what they are bringing.
