Almost Here!!!

The sale is almost here!  Things are really coming together, and we are all feeling the pinch of limited time.

Why is it that the best ideas always seem to come to mind the night before I need those ideas completed!?  Creativity knows no schedule I guess.  A little bit of paint here, some sandpaper over there, and before you know it we each have a truck load of treasures ready to be re-homed.

Salvaged Gal Tiffani has been working on some cute flower pots that I cannot wait to see.

We will have a ton of old windows this year.  The ones with broken glass have been re-purposed into chalkboards and message boards, other windows have been cleaned up and are ready to be displayed in a new home.

Jill has an adorable table and chairs set, with 8 matching chairs!  She has been hard a work getting them ready, and of course, has had some 'help' from her precious little ones.

You will not want to miss this sale!

Pretty in Pink!

Introducing Jillian - our newest, and most colorful Salvaged Gal! :)

My name is Jillian. I am a stay at home mother of two precious little girls. Throughout my life I have always been creative and crafty. These traits were always encouraged and grown by my mother. I started young learning to cross stitch, which led to crochet, which led to sewing which led to many other skills I have developed through the years.

One skill I developed early into my marriage, was finding "steals and deals" on furniture that most people would trash and turning it into something I loved. Being new to Spokane when I was first married, I had zero furniture and grand ideas. Through yard sales, the free section on Craigslist, and friends giving away their broken things I was able to have projects that would build my relationship with my husband and make my home beautiful.

Repurposing a piece of furniture is such a sweet time for me. It is a quiet place, with every brush stroke I can praise God and be in a time of prayer. It brings me joy to reflect on the love of Christ. Just as I can make a broken chair new, so does Christ work on our hearts.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

God scrapes the gunk and sands us down to reveal a new creation!

Meet Tanya!!!

We have a new Salvaged Gal this year, we would love for you to meet Tanya! She is always full of smiles and hugs for all. Be sure to look for her at our sale.

Here is her short bio so you can get to know her!

My hobbies have morphed over the years. Scrapbooking turned into card making turned into making custom baby frames for all my friends having babies. It has been fun to expand my creativity over the years. Last year, my friend and I had the crazy idea of being vendors in a local farm-craft show and in doing so, I started expanding my hobby yet again into thrifting and finding treasures and transforming them.

Repurposing things is such a fun hobby, but it is also such a neat picture of what Christ has done! I grew up in a Christian home, but tried to live holy on my own, not depending on Jesus and what He did on the Cross for me. It didn't work and I was a wreck. Christ was gracious and saved me before college, and has done such a huge work in my heart (and continues to). Just like we change the characteristics of a picture frame, or of a desk by rebuilding and sanding and painting, Christ does the same work in His children's lives. He sands off the rough edges and sin and changes us into something beautiful, all for His glory!

Thank you Jesus!!!
